A few months ago, I wrote about giving a talk at my alma mata (UMass Boston) and how I felt it was just so right. I loved it, I was doing two things that I loved doing — orating and music — especially talking about music. It was just beautiful. I begin to think, perhaps the world would be a better place if everyone was doing what they truly enjoy doing.
I’m beginning to feel that maybe my calling in life is not music, or computing, or orating, it might be helping others find their passion in life, or as Sir Ken Robinson put it in his book “The Elements”, help them be in their elements where they find personal fulfillments.
As the book suggest, when you’re doing something you really love, you feel it’s path of your, time flies and you just seem things are connecting right. I’ve being in my elements every now and then, through music especially — having a passion is a thing of beauty.
