Recently, I joined the Atheist community, allying with the likes of other atheist around the world leading the revolution to stop the religious abuse. The Atheist blogroll is a community building service provided free of charge to Atheist bloggers around the world. On a similar note, I’ve called at various times religion as an abuse — a sect that would not allow it’s followers to consider alternative thought is an abuse on the followers, as unconscious as it can be (in case you’re wondering why I referred to religion as an abuse). I don’t intend to explore the point of religion bringing happiness to some and giving a sense of satisfaction.
Yes, to some it serves those purposes considering how much many have refused to face realities (ignorance, death, failure, etc.) preferring to ‘create’ causes — good and evil; god and devil. All to shift the fault off us.
This might be a good time to include: atheism is liberation of one’s spirit from ‘boxes’ or as I prefer to say, myths. If at some point you wondered, "could God possibly make all this, the concept seems interesting but, how can he?"
That’s what atheism is about, questioning and refusing the misleading religious status quo.
